Business Talent Subclass 132 Visa

Business Men are lucky as there are quite a number of visas that are made available to them by the government of Australia. Of course, only legit business men can take advantage of these Australian visa and the requirements are quite stringent so qualifying for them can be tough although it can be done especially if the business is established and legit.
The Business Innovation and Investment - provisional / subclass 188 is a state nominated provisional visa which is valid for four years. It is a pathway to permanent residency, through the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) (subclass 888) visa.

Features

There are two streams under visa subclass 132:

  • Significant business history stream: aimed at business owners wishing to undertake a major management role in a new, or existing business or investment, in Australia. Application for this visa is by invitation only, after submission of an Expression of Interest. Visas applicants must fulfil eligibility requirements, requires personal and business assets of AUD1.5 million, and for the business visa a minimum business turnover of AUD3 million
  • Venture capital entrepreneur stream: applicants must have obtained at least AUD 1 million in funding from an Australian venture capital firm for a promising high value business idea. General Requirements

All migrants must be nominated by a state or territory government to be eligible for this visa.

To apply for this visa, you must meet a state or territory government’s nomination criteria as well as the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) eligibility criteria.

The criteria is different for each of the two visa streams – Significant business history and Venture capital entrepreneur.

132 Significant Business History Stream (Permanent)

If you are seeking nomination for this stream, please contact us first to discuss your business proposal in the nomination state prior to lodging an Expression for Interest on SkillSelect.
In addition to the DIBP criteria, applicants seeking state nomination must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant must make an investment of at least AUD$2.5 million in the proposed business for applicants intending to establish a business in non-regional area.
  • The business must create at least five new employment positions.

OR

  • AUD$1.5 million in the proposed business for applicants intending to establish a business in regional area.
  • The business must create at least three new employment positions.

Under this stream there are specific requirements for property development businesses. These applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have funds of at least AUD$5 million for transfer.
  • If you intend to invest in non-regional area, you need to invest a minimum of AUD$4 million into the proposed business that will create significant economic benefit for the nomination state and create or increase employment of five full-time sustainable positions.
  • If you intend to invest in regional area, you need to invest a minimum of AUD$2.5 million into the proposed business that will create significant economic benefit for the state and create or increase employment of three full-time sustainable positions.

132 Venture Capital Entrepreneur Steam (Permanent)

In addition to the DIBP criteria, applicants seeking a state nomination must meet the following criteria:

  • Funds are to be used for the start up phase, product commercialisation, business development or expansion of a high potential, high value business idea for operation in the state of nomination.

Timeframe for Nomination

Two weeks once Business and State Government has received your application and supporting documents.
